What is Sports Score

Sports Score is a free set of tools that helps you handle the score calculations you often need at the bowling alley, the dart bar, and in club games quickly and accurately. The strike and spare bonuses and darts countdowns that are easy to get wrong by hand are presented clearly, along with the rules, so anyone can follow them.

Operating Principles (E-E-A-T)

• Experience — We mirror real bowling scoresheets and darts X01 play, showing scores frame by frame and turn by turn.
• Expertise — We apply the USBC strike and spare bonus rules and the darts X01 bust and double-out rules exactly per the official rules.
• Authoritativeness — We publish the scoring formulas and the basis for the rules in our guide documents.
• Trustworthiness — We do not hide the formulas; we publish them and clearly state these are reference and entertainment tools. Inputs are not collected or stored.

Basis for the Scoring Rules

The rules applied in each calculator are based on the following standard game rules.

• Bowling score — 10 frames, strike (10 + next 2 rolls), spare (10 + next 1 roll), 10th-frame bonus rolls, and a perfect game of 300.
• Bowling handicap — (base score − average) × handicap percentage, with a negative handicap treated as 0 (common league practice).
• Darts X01 — 501/301 countdown, a maximum of 180 per turn, score voided on a bust, and an optional double out.

A Note on Accuracy

All Sports Score results are reference scores based on your inputs and published game rules. Actual official tournament scores follow event regulations, referee decisions, and automatic scoring results. Please use these tools for practice, club games, and fun.
